Hung Wei, originally from Taiwan, earned her master’s in teaching English as a Second Language from UCLA and made the Bay Area her home in 1981. She dedicated over a decade to the Fremont Union High School District Board of Trustees, impacting thousands of students and parents.

 

Hung's commitment extends to numerous non-profit boards and her active involvement in the Rotary Club of Cupertino, where she once served as Club President. Elected to the Cupertino City Council in 2020, she embodies the values of Servant Leadership.

 

As District Governor of Rotary District 5170 for 2023-2024, Hung Wei continues her lifelong dedication to service, balancing it with cherished family moments and personal interests, including reading, golf, and enjoying old Sci-Fi films. She is also a recipient of various prestigious awards recognizing her significant community contributions.
